Welcome! I'm Jack Knott, a seasoned traveler with a keen eye for capturing the essence of our world. Armed with my camera, a trusty drone, and a background of over 10 years in the film and television industry as a lighting technician, I bring a unique perspective to my craft.
Drawing inspiration from my grandfather, who served as a photographer in the Royal Air Force (see "Dennis Badger" page), I inherited not only his vintage cameras but also a profound appreciation for the art of capturing moments in time. His tales of adventure and the magic of photography instilled in me a deep-seated passion that continues to drive my work today.
In the film industry, I've been able to further hone my skills under a myriad of lighting conditions. From the dazzling lights of a Hollywood production to the intimate ambiance of a indie film set, I learned to adapt and thrive in diverse environments—a skill that serves me well in my pursuit of capturing the beauty of our natural landscapes.
Fuelled by a deep-seated wanderlust, I've traversed the length and breadth of the UK, seeking out the most breathtaking vistas to immortalize through my lens. With my drone as my trusty companion, I've taken my photography to new heights—literally—capturing awe-inspiring aerial shots that offer a fresh perspective on familiar landscapes.
Throughout my journey, I've had the privilege of collaborating with a myriad of brands and businesses across the UK, lending my expertise to projects ranging from outdoor apparel campaigns to architectural showcases to some of the biggest investment banks in the U.K.. Drawing from my experience in the film and television industry, I bring a meticulous attention to detail and a knack for storytelling to every project I undertake.
For me, photography isn't just about capturing images; it's about telling stories—stories of adventure, of beauty, and of the human experience.
